As the name suggests, Pisgah Preserve is a large community of over 400 acres north of Lake James and bordering on the Pisgah National Forest. Lots in this lovely wooded preserve community range from one to six acres. Beautiful views of Shortoff Mountain, Mt. Mitchell, Dobson's Knob and the treetops of the Blue Ridge can be seen from just about anywhere in the neighborhood. Amenities abound, including a trail system connecting Pisgah Preserve to the adjacent National Forest, a reading cabin, picnic shelters, fireplace and barbeque grills, playgrounds and over 115 acres of open space. Phase I opened in late 2005.
Visit our Interactive Lake James Map to learn more about the location of this community and numerous other attractions at the lake.
Dont hesitate to call us for a personal tour of the lake and its communities on foot or by boat. Wed be happy to show you around. (Hey, were always looking for an excuse to get out on the Lake.)
