Amenities and beautiful trees abound in this larger residential community established on Lake James in 1997. The over 200 wooded home sites range in size from .5 to 2.8 acres. The community is covenant restricted, with minimum square footage, brick, stone and wood homes. Interior lots have community boat slips; there is also a community pool and clubhouse. SouthPointe is located on the northeast side of Lake James in Burke County, approximately 8 miles from Morganton. It is home to both full and part-time residents.
